118 couples exchange vows at Parañaque's 'Kasalang Bayan'

A total of 118 couples exchanged wedding vows during Parañaque City’s “Kasalang Bayan” on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, as part of the city’s 27th Cityhood Anniversary.
Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez officiated two mass wedding ceremonies held at Parañaque City Sports Complex and at SM City Bicutan.
Olivarez said 86 couples tied the knot at Parañaque City Sports Complex and 32 couples at SM City Bicutan, the 68th “Kasalang Bayan” sponsored by District 2 Congressman Gus Tambunting.

The mayor said the mass wedding at sports complex was attended by District 1 Congressman Edwin Olivarez and members of the City Council headed by Vice Mayor Joan Villafuerte.
Rep. Olivarez was also present during the “Kasalang Bayan” in District 2. He was joined by Congressman Rodante Marcoleta of Sagip Partylist and Congresswoman Geraldine Roman of Bataan 1st District.
The mayor congratulated the newlyweds and prayed that their union will be strong. He advised them to place God as the center of their love.
