Ashley Ortega confirms she's dating Mavy Legaspi: 'He takes care of me'

Sparkle artist Ashley Ortega has finally put a pin on dating speculations involving her and co-sparkle artist Mavy Legaspi.

Ashley confirmed the real score between them during her appearance on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Monday. 

The topic arose after Ashley shared that she wanted to keep her personal life "private".

"I think it's obvious naman," she said at first. 

Boy then asked the same question again, emphasizing that Ashley had to respond with a "yes or no," to which she replied, "Yes."

After confirming that they are dating, Ashley received cheers from the audience.

She would go on to share how they first met.

"I met Mavy a few years ago, mga bata pa kami nun (I met Mavy a few years ago, we were still kids). When he started signing the contract sa Sparkle. We started hanging out more last year. D’un ko siya nakilala talaga (That's when I really got to know him)," Ashley shared.

Recalling how their relationship bloomed, Ashley related, "There was this one night noong kasama ko mga friends namin, d’un ko siya nakilala (There was this one night when we were both with common friends, that's when I got to know him more)."

"Then he asked me if we could have lunch [or] dinner together just to get to know more about each other." 

The actress quickly clarified that they only started going out after Mavy parted ways with Kyline Alcantara.

Despite the three-year age gap between them, Ashley maintained, "He’s actually mature. In a relationship, ako ’yung pabebe girl (I'm the one who acts like a baby). He takes care of me." 

Ashley and Mavy ignited romance rumors after being seen together at the Sinulog Festival in Cebu back in January.

The actress was ina relationship prior with Mark Alcala, the mayor of Lucena City.

They ended things in 2022.

Meanwhile, Mavy and Kyline split up last year.
