
An 18-year-old girl was arrested by members of the Parañaque City Police for stealing a motorcycle on Sunday, Feb. 2.
The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the suspect as “Jihana,” a resident of Taguig city. She was arrested at around 7:30 p.m. at Contreras St., Central Bicutan, Taguig City.
Her accomplice, identified as “Jomar," was able to elude the officers and is still being hunted.
Based on the police report, the victim sought assistance from the police after his parked Yamaha Mio scooter was stolen.
He then found the motorcycle being sold online, prompting the police to conduct an entrapment operation against the suspects.
Jihana was charged for violation of R.A. 10883 (New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016) and violation of P.D. 1612 (Anti-Fencing Law).
