The Quezon City government announced temporary road closures starting on Wednesday, Jan. 29, for the Chinese New Year 2025 celebration in Banawe.

According to the city’s Public Information Office (PIO), the affected roads will be closed from 12 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Road Closures:
• Del Monte Avenue corner Banawe Street
• Linaw Street corner Matutum Street
• Banawe Street corner Sct. Alcaraz Street
• Biak na Bato Street corner Linaw Street
• Sta. Catalina Streer corner Palanan Street
• Sta. Catalina Street corner Ubay Street

- From Banawe Street (Quezon Avenue) to Del Monte Avenue via Sgt. Rivera Avenue:
Turn right at Scout Oscar M. Alcaraz Street, then left at Biak na Bato Street, and continue straight to Del Monte Avenue to reach your destination.

- From Banawe Street (Quezon Avenue) to Del Monte Avenue via A. Bonifacio Avenue:
Turn left at Scout Oscar M. Alcaraz Street, then right at Matutum Street, and proceed straight to Del Monte Avenue to reach your destination.

Turn right at Del Monte Avenue, then left at Matutum Street, turn left at Scout Alcaraz Street, and finally turn right at Banawe Street to reach your destination.

- From Banawe Street (G. Roxas Street) to Banawe Street via Quezon Avenue or Ma. Clara Street:
Turn left at Del Monte Avenue, then right at Biak na Bato Street, turn right at Scout Alcaraz Street, and finally turn left at Banawe Street to reach your destination.
Personnel from the Traffic and Transport Management Department (TTMD), Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS), Task Force Disiplina, and Quezon City Police District (QCPD) will be deployed to ensure smooth traffic flow in the area.
