Enforcers of the Special And Intelligence Committee for Transportation (SAICT) of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) apprehended a car owned by Quezon City 2nd District Rep. Ralph Wendel Tulfo for unauthorized use of the EDSA Busway.

The car was apprehended as it is not in the list of vehicles that are allowed to use the EDSA Busway, which is exclusive for passenger buses.

The incident happened on Jan. 23 and involved a sports utility vehicle driven by a certain Kenneth de Guzman.

The vehicle is registered to Rep. Tulfo, son of Sen. Raffy Tulfo.

A violation ticket was issued to De Guzman by a SAICT-DOTr enforcer.

The unauthorized use of EDSA Busway is fined by P5,000.

Authorities have been warning motorists to refrain from using the EDSA Busway, saying only passenger buses, ambulances and vehicles of the sitting President, Vice President, heads of the House of Representatives and the Senate, and Chief Justice are allowed to use it.
