In an advisory released on Thursday, Jan. 16, the Diocese said that a certain Rev. Fr. Mario D. Divina is not an authorized priest of the Roman Catholic Church.

He is also not affiliated with the Diocese of Bacolod.

“While he wears the vestments of a Catholic priest, whatever sacraments he may confer, and the accompanying documents that he issues, may be doubtful in their validity, and are certainly unlawful,” the Diocese said.

The Diocese also said that so far, it has not established that the Chaplaincy of the Holy Trinity exists as an actual physical church, catholic or otherwise.

Bishop Patricio Buzon urged the faithful to receive the sacraments, blessings, and sacramentals only from recognized parish churches, chaplaincies, oratories, and duly authorized priests within the Diocese.
