Pasay road closures due to Panaog procession

The Pasay City government announced that road closures will be implemented to give way to the Panaog procession scheduled on Jan. 16 at 3:30 p.m.

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the Traffic Parking and Management Office (TPMO) advised motorists that the following roads - FB Harrison at the corner of EDSA; FB Harrison corner Don Benito Hernadez St.; FB Harrision corner Libertad St., and Derham Park corner Service Road, Roxas Boulevard - will be closed to traffic.

Rubiano said all motorists heading to Gil Puyat Avenue should use the Roxas Blvd. northbound lane while vehicles going to EDSA/Baclaran are advised to turn left on Libertad towards Park Avenue and then turn right onto Park Avenue.

She said the city government will kickstart the feast on Jan 16 with a procession from Pasay City Hall at 4:00 p.m.; ribbon cutting and blessing of Sto. Nino images at 4:30 p.m. to be followed by a solemn mass and proclamation of Hermanos Mayores. 

The mayor said Congregation del Nombre de Jesus, together with the city government, will be celebrating the 44th Fiesta del Sto. Nino with a grand procession on Jan. 26 at 3:00 p.m.

Rubiano said the Nombre image visited the City Hall last Jan. 13 at 7:00 a.m. which is also  the start of the registration of Sto. Nino images for exhibition up to Jan. 25.

She said the exhibition of the images of Sto. Nino will open to the public from Jan. 17- 24 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and novena mass will be conducted at 7:00 p.m.
