A fake police officer was apprehended at the General Santos City Police Office headquarters on Monday afternoon, city police chief Police Col. Nicomedes Olaivar Jr. said.
Olaivar identified the suspect as Eddie.
Police said they spotted the suspect wearing a police bush coat uniform in the parking area but noticed that his uniform did not match the official attire for the day.

Olaivar said they questioned the unarmed suspect who admitted he was not a police officer. The suspect said that he purchased his complete uniform, with decorative medals and insignias, from an online store.
The suspect, who police said might be mentally unstable or a frustrated police aspirant, was arrested and faces cases of usurpation of authority and illegal use of uniforms and insignias under the Revised Penal Code.
