BTS’ J-Hope to hold first solo world tour in Manila


K-pop idol group BTS member J-Hope will be coming to Manila for his first solo world tour. 

Big Hit Music announced J-Hope’s “Hope on the Stage” tour on Jan. 10, listing the different cities and dates. 

This will be J-Hope’s first solo world tour since debut and a first for a BTS member who has completed military service. 

"Finally!!! j-hope Tour 'HOPE ON THE STAGE,'" J-Hope posted on Instagram to announce the tour.

"The name of this concert means 'J-Hope on the stage,' but it also carries the meaning that the hopes, wishes, and dreams that he and the audience desire will be expressed in various forms through the stage," Big Hit Music explained, Korean media reported. 

J-Hope will launch the world tour in Seoul on Feb. 28, and March 1 and 2 at KSPO Dome. 

In Manila, he will hold the “Hope on the Stage” tour for two days on April 12 and 13 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. 

J-Hope will also hold the concert in Brooklyn, Chicago, Mexico City, San Antonio, Oakland, Los Angeles, Saitama, Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok, Macau, Taipei and Osaka. 

He was discharged from the military in October last year. Jin completed his military service in June last year. The remaining members of BTS will complete their military service this year.
