Welcoming 2025 with a happy heart! That's what Kapamilya couple Jericho Rosales and Janine Guttierrez is all about these days.
During the final press conference of their Dreamscape series "Lavender Fields,'' Jericho shared how he celebrated the holidays not only with his family but Janine's as well.
"I was with my family…you know my family is very dysfunctional, hiwa-hiwalay kami. I have to go there, I have to go there," Jericho shared, gesturing how he had to jump to different locations to do so, maintaining, it was "fun."
He also had fun spending time with Janine's family.
"They invited me over. So happy, so happy, little family things, nice to have that feeling of family. Different dynamic,” Jericho said.
He also shared how he was warmly welcomed by the Gutierrezes.
"They’re very sweet, they’re very loving and kind and tender and close. Imperfect, just like tayong lahat, but perfect. So ayun, in a way, there’s love and acceptance and they're also a family of artists so, mixed people in the industry. But I love her siblings. And her parents also," Jericho said.
Meanwhile, Janine was asked about her mom's (Lotlot de Leon) thoughts about Jericho.
She said, "Happy siya [Lotlot] nung kasama naman si Echo nung holidays, happy siya nung nagustuhan ni Echo yung luto niya. Super simple lang and we like to keep that way."
Best gift of 2024
Jericho considers Janine one of the best gifts of 2024.
"I don’t force that, you know, love takes on many different forms, and I wasn’t expecting naman na Janine and I would meet and start dating and would come to a good place, so parang it’s very light. It’s always been light, that I would not expect things to be…so light and easy, just breezy, parang ganu’n, so it’s a nice gift, I appreciate it. One of the best gifts last year," Jericho said.
Jericho also highlighted how he admires Janine for being hardworking and passionate about her work.
"I love her personality, her as a person, she’s very loving ate, loves herself, she loves her craft, we share a lot of things about the craft and films and anything that we can digest in terms of not just content but films, TV, and shows, whatever."
Jericho expressed excitement about "Lavender Fields" as it nears the end of its run.
"I’m so excited to see the last 10 days. The edit! Kasi wala kami preview, but some of my favorite scenes will be in the last 10 days. I’m very happy. I made a decision last year — I said it’s gonna be a yes year. I’m gonna come back and be seen again in TV, music, films, on stage, and everything. And ‘Lavender Fields’ really helped me a lot in reintroducing myself as an actor,” he said.
The final episodes of “Lavender Fields” airs weeknights after “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo." It is also streaming on Netflix.
