CAVITE – A Bantay Bayan member allegedly stabbed two men in General Trias City following a dispute over a videoke singing session on Sunday evening, Jan. 5.
A report from the Police Regional Office IVA on Tuesday, Jan. 7, identified the suspect as alias Johnson.
An initial investigation by the General Trias Component City Police Station (CCPS) said the victims, James Bryan S. Luna and Aldrin S. Toribio, were having a drinking spree and a videoke singing session prior to the incident.
Alias Johnson, a Bantay Bayan member, reportedly confronted the two about the loud noise disturbing nearby residents.
A heated argument ensued between the victims and the suspect.
At the peak of the altercation, the suspect allegedly stabbed the victims.
Both victims were rushed to the hospital for medical treatment, but Luna later died.
The suspect, meanwhile, immediately fled after committing the crime and is now the subject of a hot pursuit operation by the General Trias CCPS.
