Marcos issued Proclamation No. 767, declaring Jan. 24, Friday, as a special non-working day in the municipality of Carigara for its 454th founding anniversary.

Jan. 25, which falls on a Saturday, was the actual founding anniversary of the municipality, however, the Sangguniang Bayan requested that Jan. 24 be declared as a special non-working day in lieu of Jan. 25.

The President made the declaration "to enable the Municipality of Cariaga to fully participate in the occasion and to provide for a longer weekend."

"[I]t is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Carigara be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration," Marcos said in the proclamation.

Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin signed the document by the authority of the President on Jan. 3.
