According to the rider, he had to brake suddenly to avoid the whistling firecracker. The sudden stop caused the rider to fall, leaving him with a swollen knee, a limp, and general body pain as his foot got stuck in the motorcycle.

He feared that if the whistle bomb hit his motorcycle, the consequences could have been more severe. The rider confronted the man who threw the firecracker.

Despite his injuries and the bad weather, the rider continued his efforts to rescue the dog and brought it to a nearby veterinary clinic where it received immediate treatment.

Residents of the barangay expressed gratitude to the rider for his selflessness and dedication to saving the dog despite his own injuries.
