An alleged "Davao Mafia" allowed for the likes of fugitive pastor Apollo Quiboloy to have his way in the city, so much that he even managed to build an underground facility for himself.

Thus, claimed Manila 2nd district Rep. Rolando Valeriano, who called on the government to “dismante” and "uproot" this mafia-like system and pave the way for the immediate arrest of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) church leader.

“Those underground facilities could not have been built without the acts of commission and omission of government offices, private entities, and individuals,” Valeriano said in a statement on Sunday, Sept. 8.

The outspoken veteran legislator at the same time suggested that there must be “some sort of general cleaning should get underway soon to wash away the systemic corruption that allowed Quiboloy to flourish".

Quiboloy--spiritual adviser of former president and former long-time Davao mayor Rodrigo Duterte--is wanted for cases of human trafficking and sexual abuse.

For two weeks now, Philippine National Police (PNP) operatives have been searching for Quboloy at the KOJC compound in Davao City. They have since turned their sights underground.

“There should be a thorough inventory of guns, ammunition, explosives, and dangerous chemicals in the possession of individuals in Davao City. Any and all illegal POGOs (Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators) and fake BPOs (Business Process Outsourcing) in Davao City must be raided and dismantled,” Valeriano said.

According to him, the order of President Marcos on “banning POGOs must be implemented also in Metro Davao".

”The National Telecommunications Commission must conduct a regulatory audit of all entities with broadcasting and Internet services franchises in Davao," he said.

“NTC must make sure none of those franchises are being used for purposes that are illegal and contrary to their franchises from Congress,” Valeriano stressed.

Valeriano chairs the House Committee on Metro Manila Development.
