Dismissed Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo on Monday, September 9 attended the continuation of the Senate’s investigation into the criminal activities of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) in the Philippines.
Guo, whose Chinese name is Guo Hua Ping, was escorted by members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and heavily guarded, wearing a bulletproof vest and a Kevlar helmet.
Guo, who has been linked to the raided POGO hubs in her town, was brought from the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame to the Senate. She last attended a Senate hearing on POGO in May.
Due to her refusal to attend the subsequent hearings, the Senate cited her in contempt and ordered for her arrest.
She left the country in July and was apprehended in Indonesia and brought back to the country last week.
