10 hurt in jeepney plunge in Cagayan

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – Ten individuals were injured in a jeepney crash in Barangay Manga, Peñablanca, Cagayan on Saturday, September 7.

Police said the driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating an uphill portion of the road and plunged into a deep ravine.

Ten passengers, who were among 20 individuals, including the driver, onboard, were injured and taken to a hospital.

The victims were on their way to Barangay Manga to watch a basketball game when they figured in the accident.

Police said the oldest victim was 65 and the youngest was eight.
