Police withheld the names of the victim, a 36-year-old nurse, and the suspect to protect the identities of their twin children.

Police Lt. Stephen Polinar, spokesperson of the Negros Oriental police, said the victim and her husband figured in an altercation inside their car over an alleged affair that resulted to violence on Thursday afternoon, September 5.

The suspect drew a gun and shot his wife in the neck.

The suspect drove to his friend’s house with the bloodied body of his wife in the front right seat. The suspect admitted to the crime after his friend noticed bloodstains on his clothes.

The friend reported the incident to the police who arrested the suspect.  The suspect faces parricde charges.

Polinar said they are reviewing closed-circuit television camera footage to determine the time the crime was committed and the moment the suspect went to his friend’s house and parked the vehicle in a nearby location.

Police have contacted the victim’s family in Calasiao, Pangasinan.

Polinar said it was unclear if who among the couple was being accused of having a relationship.

Lawmen have yet to recover the suspect's firearm.
