Two suspects were nabbed for carnapping in a follow-up operation conducted by members of the Southern Police District-Special Operations Unit (SPD-SOU), on Friday night, September 6, in Parañaque City.

The suspects were identified as alias "John Robert", 32, and alias “Glen” 37. They were arrested at around 8:30 p.m. in Barangay Sun Valley, Parañaque.

The SPD said members of the SOU coordinated with the Parañaque City Police Substation 7 for the arrest of the suspects after a 19-year-old victim filed a complaint that his motorcycle was forcibly taken at around 3 a.m. along Sta. Ana, Sun Valley, in Parañaque City.

Police said they recovered the colored red and black Honda Click 125 motorcycle and one .38 caliber revolver with five live ammunition from the possession of alias “John Robert”.

The police said during the investigation conducted, it was found out that John Robert has criminal records of serious physical injury, illegal possession of drugs, and illegal gambling while Glen was charged with reckless imprudence resulting in damage to property.

The suspects were detained at the SPD-SOU custodial facility and were charged with the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016 and the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunitions Regulation Act.
