Pasig LGU issues traffic advisory for Sept. 7 religious procession
The local government of Pasig City has advised motorists to plan their trips in advance on Saturday, September 7, due to expected slow-moving traffic in some areas in the city as the Immaculate Conception Cathedral will hold a procession in the evening.
The procession will begin at 6 p.m. onwards and the following roads will be affected:
- Plaza Rizal intersection
- R. Jabson Street (Malinao, Bambang)
- Caruncho Avenue (San Nicolas)
- M.H. Del Pilar Street (San Nicolas, Sta. Cruz, Sto. Tomas)
- E. Angeles Street (Sagad)
- Dr. Pilapil Street (Sagad)
- Dr. Sixto Antonio Avenue (Kapasigan)
- A. Mabini Street
- P. Burgos Street
- Lopez Jaena Street
- Dr. Garcia Street
The procession will be held in celebration of the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Meanwhile, the local government also informed motorists that C.J. Caparas Street, specifically from C-5 Road to Landers Gate, in Barangay Ugong will be temporarily closed on Saturday.
The road closure will take effect at 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Sunday, September 8, to give way for the installation of the Meralco pole in the area.
Motorists are advised to take alternate routes.
