Korean actor Kim Ji-soo addresses past allegations, thanks fans for support

Korean actor Kim Ji-soo, who has been building a career in the Philippines, has set the record straight about past allegations. 

His breakout role in the GMA Network series “Black Rider” has led to more opportunities. Kim Ji-soo is now based in the Philippines and will be starring in the movie “Mujigae.”

However, there are some comments on social media that refer to past allegations of school violence involving him.

In 2021, the actor faced accusations about incidents from his school years including claims of bullying, which he had already resolved. 

“I’ve been able to clear up misunderstandings with the friends involved. We talked and reconciled, and I am now focused on moving forward with my life and career,” said Kim Ji-soo, according to a report by Korean media outlet Sports Chosun. 

He added, "Many rumors have become public knowledge and established facts because of things I didn't do. All sexual assault allegations were false, and even an apology was received.”

Kim Ji-soo is focused on his career and is thankful to his fans, especially in the Philippines. 

"I am truly grateful for the opportunities I’ve had here. The support from my Filipino fans has been overwhelming, and there is so much more I want to accomplish," he said. 

The actor said he wants to do more things. 

"I want to challenge myself with a play or musical. I also want to make a short film and I find filming on YouTube fun. I studied English a lot during my break, so I want to do an English performance. I want to try acting in English in a global production,” he said. 

He released the third episode of his YouTube vlog on his JiSooRoad channel and even has his TikTok account.  

Kim Ji-soo previously attended the GMA Gala and took home the Red Carpet Scene Stealer award. 

He recently joined the long-running GMA medical drama “Abot Kamay Na Pangarap.” He signed a contract with Sparkle GMA Artist Center for his endorsement deals.
