The last season Second Mythical Member has no definite timeline on his recovery after his injury was confirmed by an MRI test.
The injury forced him to not finish Dyip's game against the Magnolia Hotshots and miss the contest against the TNT Tropang Giga.
The 33-year-old guard has been playing through calf and back injuries and he suspected that his hamstring could have compensated for those.
Nonetheless, the injuries have been hounding Tiongson and it resulted in his lackluster performance that saw him only average 9.5 points and 3.0 rebounds – a far cry from his usual numbers when he led the team to a quarterfinals appearance last conference.
Tiongson’s injury only compounded the miseries for the Dyip, who came out of the first round of the eliminations winless after dropping another blowout 107-89 loss to the TNT Tropang Giga.
Tiongson was actually on the sidelines during the loss but was helpless and could only hope that the remaining players in Christian Standhardinger, Stanley Pringle and import Antonio Hester finally find the winning formula to get into the win column.
Terrafirma is the only winless team so far in the season with their next chance of achieving one is on Sunday, Sep. 8 against NorthPort.
Aside from Tiongson, all-defensive team member Kemark Carino was also out of commission due to a groin injury he suffered during the game against Magnolia.
