COTABATO CITY – A militiaman yielded half a kilo of suspected shabu worth P3.4 million in a buy-bust operation in Tamparan, Lanao del Sur on Tuesday, September 3.
Gil Cesario Castro, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region chief, identified the suspect as Alonto Pampa, an active member of the Civilian Armed Forces Geographical Unit.
Seized from the suspect were some 500 grams of shabu and a .45 caliber pistol.
Castro said the suspect was a high-value individual who operates in the provinces of Lanao del Sur and Lanao del Norte.
“The suspect was placed under surveillance the past months following reports provided by local officials in the,” Castro said.
The suspect is detained at the Tamparan police station and faces drug-related charges.
Meanwhile, 10 grams of suspected shabu valued at P68,000 was seized by authorities during a drug den raid in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi on Wednesday, September 4.
Lawmen arrested the suspected drug maintainer, Albert Aliudjin Askalani, and two suspected cohorts, Nurainie M. Ilahan and Benhar Sali Rajid.
Suspects are detained at the Bongao Municipal Police Station.
