The local government of Las Piñas conducted flushing operations around the city to remove mud and debris caused by the flooding left by Typhoon Enteng.
Mayor Imelda Aguilar said that personnel from the City Environment and Natural Resources (CENRO) conducted a flushing operation and collection of garbage that was left scattered along the roads and streets.
Aguilar emphasized that the operation was conducted to ensure the safety of residents and motorists, particularly from slippery roads.
She added that CENRO also trimmed trees in various parts of the city to prevent incidents of fallen trees and branches during future typhoons.
The mayor reported that CENRO collected a total of 79.9 metric tons of garbage from September 2 to 4.
As of September 5, the clearing operations are still ongoing.
