CAVITE – Classes in all levels are canceled on Friday, Sept. 6, due to the inclement weather brought by the southwest monsoon intensified by the trough or extension of Typhoon Yagi (formerly Enteng).

Gov. Jonvic Remulla announced the class suspension in a Facebook post evening on Thursday, Sept. 5.

“Ano ba talaga #EntengPH ?! Kahit sa paglisan mo ay katakot-takot na ulan naman ang hinila mo. Ano akala mo sa aming mga taga-ETIBAK … immortal?! (What’s the deal, #EntengPH?! Even as you leave, you’re dragging a crazy amount of rain with you. Do you think we, the people of Cavite, are immortal?!)” the governor said.

“Kaya eto na… Handa na ba kayo magising ng tanghali?  Handa ba kayong patuloy na walang baon? Handa ba kayo sa isang linggong …#WalangPasok CAVITE Sept 6, 2024. (So here it is… Are you ready to wake up at noon? Are you ready to go on without allowance? Are you ready for a whole week of… #NoClasses in CAVITE on Sept 6, 2024) No classes at all levels.”

Classes in Cavite have been suspended since Monday, Sept. 2, due to bad weather.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration issued a yellow heavy rainfall warning in Cavite on Sept. 5, 5:00 p.m., along with Tarlac, Bulacan, and Metro Manila.

Residents in flood-prone areas are advised to remain alert.
