Three Chinese nationals and four Filipinos were arrested after robbing and abducting two other Chinese and Vietnamese nationals in Parañaque City, authorities said on Wednesday, September 4.

The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the Chinese national suspects as “Liu,” 39; Weichun, 35; and Dongbo, 34. The Filipino suspects, meanwhile, were identified as “Jon Jon,” 45; “Ruel,” 42; “Brian,” 33; and “Jerico.”

The seven suspects were arrested on September 2 during the follow-up operation conducted by the members of the Parañaque Police Don Bosco substation on Timothy Street, Multinational Village, Barangay Moonwalk in Parañaque City.

According to a witness, he and the victims were just inside their house when the suspects suddenly barged inside for unknown reason and destroyed the installed CCTV and forcibly took his mobile phone.

The suspects then took and dragged the three victims, identified as “Kelly,” “Tong," and “Xu,” inside a white van and fled in an unknown direction.

The witness immediately called for police assistance, prompting the authorities to respond.

The police immediately conducted a follow-up operation that led to the suspects’ arrest. They are now detained and charged with robbery and abduction.

Meanwhile, SPD said that coordination was made by Parañaque City with the Bureau of Immigration to determine the travel records and status of the arrested Chinese suspects.

It added that a verification record was also requested to the Land Transportation Office (LTO) to identify the owner of the used vehicle to abduct the victims.
