The local governments of Muntinlupa, Taguig and Pateros in Metro Manila suspended classes in all levels in private and public schools on Sept. 4 due to the forecast of continuous rains from the enhanced southwest monsoon (habagat).
Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon announced the suspension of classes on Sept. 4 after the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) issued an orange rainfall warning for Metro Manila based on data from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
