F2F classes in Antipolo City, 4 other Rizal towns remain suspended on Sept. 4

As some schools are still occupied by evacuees following the wrath of Tropical Storm Enteng enhanced by the southwest monsoon, classes at all levels, both public and private in Antipolo City and in six other towns in Rizal Province remained suspended on Wednesday, Sept. 4.

Antipolo City  Mayor Casimiro "Junjun" Ynares III announced that schools will remain closed for in-person classroom learning and instead observe distance learning modalities such as modular and online.

Aside from Antipolo City, face-to-face classes remained suspended in Taytay, Baras, Morong, Pililla, Tanay, and Rodriguez, Rizal as some of the areas, including schools, in flood-stricken communities were still submerged in floodwaters or were still being used as evacuation centers by the displaced residents.

Rizal Governor Nina Ricci Ynares had announced the resumption of in-school learning on Sept. 4 in municipalities where there were no declaration of suspension of classes from the office of the mayor or the school principal.

She encouraged the public to check out the official social media pages of their respective municipal government units or schools.
