A 29-year-old drunk man was arrested by members of the Parañaque City Police for challenging passersby to a duel while brandishing an improvised gun or "sumpak" on Wednesday, September 4.
The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the suspect as “Raymond." He was arrested at around 1:45 a.m. in Barangay San Martin de Porres, Parañaque City.
The police said a witness reported the suspect who was under the influence of liquor and was creating disturbance around their neighborhood.
Responding members of the Parañaque City Marcelo Green Substation caught the suspect challenging passersby to a duel.
They then recovered an improvised firearm with ammunition from Raymond.
He was then brought at the Parañaque City Police headquarters for detention and was charged with illegal possession of firearm and alarm and scandal.
