SPD nabs 72 wanted persons in 34th Warrant Day operations
The Southern Police District (SPD) apprehended 72 fugitives in a series of operations in just one day on Sept. 27.
Operatives captured the wanted persons during SPD’s 34th Warrant Day, resulting in the arrest of six Top Most Wanted Persons, 35 most wanted persons and 31 other wanted persons in their areas of responsibility.

The SPD covers the cities of Muntinlupa, Taguig, Las Pinas, Paranaque, Pasay and Makati, and the municipality of Pateros.
One of those arrested was alias Joel, 51, who was nabbed by the Muntinlupa Police after three years for a case of resistance and disobedience to a person in authority. The warrant of arrest was issued on Jan. 11, 2021 by Judge Nelvin Malaluan Asi of the Muntinlupa Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 114.
Also arrested was aAlias Byron, 44, a most wanted person, who was apprehended by the Parañaque Police after evading the authorities for three years. He is facing cases of theft and grave threat.
In Pasay, the police arrested Alias Saipoden, 42, after evading authorities for 11 years. He is wanted for slight physical iInjuries and a warrant of arrest was issued against him on Aug. 1, 2013 by Acting Presiding Judge Violeta Pereña.
In Las Piñas, alias Benjamin, 37, was taken into custody by the Las Piñas Police after 10 years for estafa and violation of Batas Pambansa Bilang 22 or the bouncing checks law.

By apprehending these individuals, we are taking significant steps toward ensuring a safer community for all. This aligns with the PNP's mission to create a safer and more secure Philippines.”
