GMA Network, the Philippines' leading broadcast media company, through its investment and diversification arm GMA Ventures, Inc., (GVI), and Singapore-based venture capital company TNB Aura, signed a partnership agreement with Hofer Development Company (HDC), a house-of-brands company that develops over-the-counter products under the health care category.

The signing took place on Sept. 26 at the GMA Network Center in Quezon City.

With the global health and wellness market experiencing a steady growth and more consumers paying closer attention to their health post-COVID, GVI and TNB Aura consider the partnership with HDC a high conviction investment due to its impressive traction, viable business model, and strong founder profile.

GVI was represented by its President and COO Regie C. Bautista, who also serves as GMA Network Senior Vice President for Corporate Strategic Planning and Business Development and Concurrent Chief Risk Officer, and Head of Program Support. Signing for TNB Aura was its Managing Partner David A. Bonifacio and for HDC, Founder and President Jefferson G. Hofer.

Speaking of the partnership, Bautista said, "We expect greater things from HDC. TNB Aura and GMA Ventures will be participating actively, with HDC, to build their business."

HDC's Hofer shared, "The investment of GMA will definitely bolster our production and our marketing spend and growth in the market, also leveraging on the Network's marketing and reach as the number one network in the Philippines."

Meanwhile, TNB Aura's Bonifacio spoke of its long-standing partnership with GVI. "On the partnership with GMA, I really find that they're very strategic in the way they think. They're very thoughtful about how they invest. Other than the matching capital, they bring so much value add because of their reach."
