In a statement on Tuesday night, Sept. 3, Marcos also disclosed that P65.56-million funds are on "standby" for those heavily-affected by the strong typhoon.

"Patuloy nating tinutugunan ang epekto ng Bagyong Enteng na dumadaan sa kanlurang bahagi ng Luzon at Visayas, at nananalanta pa rin sa hilagang bahagi ng Luzon (We continue to respond to the effect of Typhoon Enteng which is now passing through the western part of Luzon and Visayas, and continues to batters the northern part of Luzon)," Marcos said.

The President also said that rescue teams continue to help those who were hit by the typhoon. He bared that more than 63,000 people have been evacuated to 452 evacuation centers.

He further said that there is a total of P480.61-million health logistics fund set aside by the regions for immediate health services for those who were affected by the typhoon.

Marcos also called on local government units (LGUs) to promptly address the waste management issue left by the typhoon, adding that the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) stands ready to assist them in clearing operations on affected national roads.

The Chief Executive also assured affected communities that power lines damaged by the typhoon are now being restored.

He also reminded the people that while the typhoon is expected to exit the country on Wednesday, he urged them to follow the advice of the local authorities to ensure their safety.

"Habang inaasahan natin itong lalabas ng Philippine Area of Responsibility bukas, hindi rito natatapos ang ating trabaho. Sundin po natin ang abiso ng mga local na awtoridad at gawin natin lahat para sa kaligtasan ng bawat isa (While we expect this to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility tomorrow, our job does not end here. Let us follow the advice of local authorities and do everything to ensure the safety of everyone)," Marcos said.
