After a two-year absence on radio, former Star Patroller Niña Corpuz is happy to be back on the Kapamilya line-up as host of a public service program.

"Nagseserbisyo Niña Corpuz at Migs Bustos" airs on weekdays at 4:30 pm via Radyo 630 and Teleradyo Serbisyo on TV.

Migs was a former TV Patrol sports reporter and hosted a lifestyle program on ANC. Niña admitted that she didn't know Migs prior to their pairing in the program.

"So, actually, nung na-meet ko siya, bago. Parang new acquaintance, diba? But, he's such an easy guy to be with, and I would like to think I'm also easy (to be with). You know, we can easily connect to each other, and support each other, and we learn from each other. Even if I'm older than him, there are things from him that I also learn. So, it's a good partnership," Niña observed.

The lady broadcaster said "yes" without hesitation when the offer to co-host with Migs landed on her plate.

The day's first order was informing the management of the government-owned PTV4 where Niña presently anchors the noontime news show "Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon."

"Very, very supportive po sila. Sabi nila, go Niña, spread your wings, fly high," she shared.

Niña said that going back to her Kapamilya roots fills her with excitement.

"Alam niyo po, very excited ako dahil halos dalawang taon na rin po akong nawala sa radio. At talagang na-miss ko siya, na-feel ko yung hindi ako parang buo, pero I learned to live with it. Di ba nauso yung mga Zoom, yung mga interviews online, and then I was given an opportunity to do other shows naman. Pero iba pa rin yung nakabalik ako sa una kong tahanan, yung dati ko pang tahanan where I really feel at home, " Niña said, referring to her original Kapamilya family.

(I am very excited because I did not do radio for two years. And I really missed it, like I felt incomplete. The feeling of going back to your first home is different. I really feel at home here.

"Nagseserbisyo Niña Corpuz at Migs Bustos" is described as a comprehensive public service program addressing issues on health, education, business, and other matters.

She pointed out that their main segment is called KOTD. "Hindi OOTD, kundi KOTD. Ito po yung Ka-serbisyo Of The Day," she said.

In KOTD, they will interview government officials and private individuals who run major organizations that help in nation-building.

"Dr. Serbisyo" is a segment close to Niña's heart as she was a health reporter for a long time. She and Migs will talk to doctors about common diseases and how to treat and prevent them.

"Petmalu" is a segment for fur parents. It will feature interviews with pet experts and veterinarians.   On the other hand, "Sino Po Sila?" is a section that gives the spotlight on "ordinary Filipinos with extraordinary stories.

Being a successful entrepreneur and the force behind her own clothing brand, "Nina Inabel," showcasing local fabrics, a portion devoted to entrepreneurship in the show was indispensable.

"Sa Grow Negosyo segment namin, we will feature different negosyantes - whether ang negosyo mo ay malaki o maliit, kung papaano ka nag-umpisa, ano ang story mo, at bakit ka napunta sa linya na yun," she remarked.

(The Grow Negosyo segment will feature different entrepreneurs, whether big or small, how they started, what their stories are, and how they ended up in that field.)

The award-winning Niña stressed that public service is already in her DNA, something which was instilled in her when she became a journalist at a young age.

"Ito po ay isang bokasyon. Kung meron akong kapwa Filipino na na-inspire o nagbago ang buhay niya, in a positive way, dahil po dun sa aming istorya, ako po ay gigising muli bukas, excited for another day,Niña noted.

(This is a vocation. If I am able to inspire my fellow Filipinos to change their lives in a positive way as a result of our stories, no doubt I will wake up with excitement for another day.)
