According to the city’s public information office, the event was held at the North Bay Boulevard North Elementary School, and was participated in by residents of all ages who were provided with a wide range of health services, which included nutrition services, immunization, family planning, HIV screening and prevention, tuberculosis control, non-communicable disease prevention, maternal health services, and environmental and sanitation programs.
The initiative aims to deliver primary healthcare services directly to communities and establish access to health services in every barangay across the country.
In addition to providing healthcare services, the initiative promotes a healthy lifestyle by encouraging residents to engage in regular exercise, avoid drugs and alcohol, and ensure sufficient rest.
City Mayor John Rey Tiangco expressed his support for the program, underscoring its crucial role in advancing community health.
“This program is a testament to our shared vision of making healthcare accessible to every Navoteño. By bringing these services directly to our barangays, we are not only addressing immediate health needs but also empowering our residents to take charge of their well-being," he said.
The event was attended by DOH Metro Manila Center for Health Development Regional Director Dr. Rio L. Magpantay, PhilHealth Caloocan Local Health Insurance Office Head Brian Florentino, and other city officials.
