Gun-for-hire shot dead in Ilocos Norte

BANNA, Ilocos Norte – A suspected gun-for-hire was killed in a broad daylight ambush in Barangay Tabtabagan here on Sunday, September 1.

Police identified the victim as Isaac Casay, 54, alias Bigso, of Poblacion 1, Adams, Ilocos Norte and Barangay Santo Niño, Nueva Era, Ilocos Norte.

Casay was driving a motorcycle when he was ambushed. He died on the spot from multiple bullet wounds.

Recovered from the crime scene were an empty M16 shell, 11 empty caliber .45 shells, nine empty 9mm shells, and one caliber .45 pistol with seven bullets.

Police are pursuing the suspects and determining the victim’s connection to shooting cases in the province.
