2 fishermen missing amid 'Enteng' in Quezon

LUCENA CITY, Quezon - Two fishermen were reported missing on Monday, September 2, amid tropical storm "Enteng" in the towns of Quezon and Polillo in this province.

The Quezon Police Provincial Office identified the missing individuals as Donan, a resident of Barangay Villa Mercedes in Quezon and Erwin of Perez.

Donan, according to Jhon Errol Perez of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office-Quezon, left his house to fish on September 1 at 5:30 p.m. and has not yet returned.

Perez said Donan's family exerted efforts to locate him but were empty-handed.

Erwin left his house on September 1 at around 3 p.m. to fish in the sea of Polillo Island but also failed to return home.

His wife, Jackelyn, reported to the police that he is missing on September 2.

Authorities are searching for the two men.
