Las Piñas Vice-Mayor April Aguilar congratulated a total of 322 residents who graduated from the Las Piñas Manpower Training Center for finishing their technical and vocational courses.

Aguilar expressed her pride and support for the center’s ongoing mission to provide technical and vocational education to residents.

She said the training center, established in 1982 under the leadership of former Mayor Filemon Aguilar, continues to be an essential institution in equipping individuals with industry-relevant skills.

The vice-mayor said the center has produced more than 85,000 graduates over the years, reinforcing the city's commitment to produce a skilled and capable workforce from various Technical and Vocational Education and Training Programs (TVET) such as automotive servicing, housekeeping, computer systems operations, cookery, shielded metal arc welding, massage therapy, hairdressing, food and beverage services, among others.

During the commencement exercise, Aguilar reiterated her support for the center’s programs, emphasizing the importance of skills development for the community's overall progress.

She said through the initiatives of the center, the local government continues to provide valuable opportunities for its residents, helping them acquire the skills necessary to succeed in various industries.

The vice-mayor added that the graduates received their certificate of completion during the commencement exercise held last September 26 at the Mayor Nene Aguilar DRRM Building in Barangay Talon Dos.
