Man, son from QC drown in Ilocos Sur

SANTO DOMINGO, Ilocos Sur – A teenage boy and his father drowned while swimming in the sea of Barangay Calay-ab, this town, on Saturday afternoon, September 28.

Ilocos Sur Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Rhon Arquelada identified the fatality as Artearchealauz Paat, 16, of Barangay Bagong Silang, Quezon City. He was rescued by authorities but was declared dead in a hospital.

Arquelada said a search operation is ongoing for the victim’s father, Rowell.

He said the Paats checked in a resort in Barangat Calay-ab for a short vacation to celebrate Artearchealauz’s birth anniversary when they drowned.
