DPWH: Four-month partial closure of Magsaysay Boulevard starts Sept. 28
By Trixee Rosel
The westbound portion of Magsaysay Boulevard in Manila will be closed starting on Saturday, Sept. 28, to facilitate repair works on its damaged drainage system, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said.
In an advisory, the DPWH-National Capital Region (NCR) advised motorists to expect possible traffic delays and consider alternative routes to ease congestion in the area.
It said the ongoing repair works will cover a 214-meter stretch of the westbound lane, commencing at Pureza Street.
The DPWH said a 34.7-meter section of the eastbound lane will also be impacted, resulting in the closure of its outermost lane.
The DPWH-NCR assured the public that the lanes will be reopened by Jan. 27, 2025, once the necessary repairs are completed.
