The government of Pasay City, in observance of "World Tourism Month" and in collaboration with the Cultural Development Office (CDO) of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), organized a visit to the city's historic streets.

Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano announced that the delegation was led by CDO Assistant Secretary Celia Anna M. Feria, who participated in the inaugural "Pasay Food and Heritage Walk" alongside DFA employees to enhance their understanding of Pasay City's history and culture.

Rubiano noted that the delegation toured several significant sites, including St. Mary’s Academy, Parokya ng Santa Clara de Montefalco, and the Pasay City General Hospital, which was previously situated at P. Burgos St.

The group also visited the Padre Burgos Elementary School, specifically the Gabaldon School Building, recognized as Pasay Central School, the city's first public school that now serves as a Community Learning Center for young children.

The mayor highlighted that the DFA building, located along Roxas Boulevard, has been standing for 35 years.

She emphasized that this tour marks the beginning of a series of visits by DFA employees aimed at deepening their appreciation of Pasay's rich cultural heritage.
