Lady Mandaue solon named Lakas-CMD Central Visayas chair

CEBU CITY – Mandaue City Rep. Emmarie “Lolypop” Ouano-Dizon has been named as the regional chairperson of the country’s most dominant political party, the Lakas-CMD, in Central Visayas.

Lakas is the biggest political party in the House of Representatives, with Speaker Martin Romualdez as its president and is considered as the strongest member of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas.

“This is a huge honor for me and for the people of the lone district of Mandaue. Like in any and all of my tasks, I will give my heart to this responsibility given to me," Dizon said.

"I thank Speaker Martin Romualdez and the entire Lakas party for the trust," she added.

As regional chairperson of Lakas, Dizon will be on top of the Lakas party’s activities and undertakings in the province of Cebu.

She will also have the authority to sign the Certificates of Nomination (CONA) of all those who will be running under the Lakas banner in Cebu during the filing of Certificates of Candidacy in October.
