ILOILO CITY – Police arrested a suspected drug pusher in Calinog town, Iloilo province, after more than a year of surveillance.
The Calinog Municipal Police Station-Drug Enforcement Team nabbed the suspect, alias “Nejo,” in a buy-bust operation on Friday, September 27, in Barangay Dalid.

Seized from him was 110 grams of suspected shabu valued at more than P748,000.
The Calinog MPS had closely monitored the suspect for about a year and relied on information given by concerned citizens.
Nejo was believed to be connected to the Chiva Criminal Gang that operates in central Iloilo.
Iloilo police chief Police Col. Bayani Razalan lauded the Calinog MPS for their achievement and issued a stern warning that IPPO is not slowing down on the anti-drug campaign despite the formal start of the election season next week.
Nejo is facing charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
