Fuel by the commitment that “no one will be left behind”, House Speaker Martin Romualdez led on Friday, Sept. 27, the rollout of around P1 billion worth of government programs, services, and cash aid through the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) in the province of Cavite.

In his speech during the launch of the two-day service caravan, Romualdez said the BPSF continues to provide direct services and relief to millions of Filipinos.

“Ang Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair ay patunay na walang maiiwan sa Bagong Pilipinas ng ating Pangulong BBM (Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr). Dito, mabilis, maayos, maginhawa at masaya ang serbisyong hatid natin sa bawat Pilipino,” he said.

(The Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair is proof that no one will be left behind in the New Philippines under President BBM. Here, we provide fast, orderly, convenient, and joyful services to every Filipino.)

The BPSF in Cavite brought together 65 government agencies, which aim to deliver 235 government programs and services to over 120,000 Caviteños.

This includes the distribution of P451 million in cash assistance and 255,500 kilos of rice to beneficiaries.

Among the key programs provided were the Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP) payouts from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Tulong Dunong scholarships of the Commission on Higher and Technical Education (CHED), and the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

Romualdez says the success of the all-encompassing service caravan is proof that the government is united in its efforts to serve every Filipino.

“The BPSF is a concrete example of how we can achieve more when we work together. Sa pagkakaisa ng lahat, mas mabilis nating nadadala ang serbisyo ng gobyerno sa bawat tahanan,” he added.

(With everyone’s unity, we can deliver government services to every household more quickly.)

Cavite is the 24th area that has been visited by the BPSF so far. The caravan intends to reach all 82 provinces.

“The success of the BPSF in Cavite is a step closer to achieving our goal—an inclusive government that leaves no Filipino behind,” the Speaker said.

Among the local hosts for the event were Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., Cavite 1st district Rep. Jolo Revilla, 2nd district Rep. Lani Mercado-Revilla, and AGIMAT Party-list Rep. Bryan Revilla.

200 congressmen present

Similar to previous editions of the BPSF, an impressive turnout of lawmakers and public officials attended the Cavite event, with 200 members of the House of Representatives present on Friday.

“Ang bilang ng mga dumalo ay patunay na talagang pinahahalagahan ng ating mga mambabatas ang pagkakaroon ng direktang programang maglalapit ng lahat ng serbisyo’t ayuda sa ating mga mamamayan,” said Romualdez, representative of Leyte’s 1st district.

(The number of attendees is proof that our lawmakers truly value having direct programs that bring all services and assistance closer to our countrymen.)

The House leader said he was “deeply honored” to share with his fellow lawmakers the same commitment to bringing meaningful change to Filipinos in need.

“With this kind of cooperation and participation, we are ensuring that government services reach even the farthest corners of the country,” he continued.
