NCT 127’s Jaehyun to enlist in the military in November


Jaehyun, a member of K-pop boy bands NCT and NCT 127, will be enlisting in the military in November. 

The 27-year-old singer will be enlisting as an active duty soldier on Nov. 4. After completing his basic military training, he will serve in the Army Band.

“NCT Jaehyun applied to the Army Band and received a notice of acceptance from the Military Manpower Administration today [Sept 26]. He will enlist as an active-duty soldier on November 4 and fulfill his military service obligation,” his agency, SM Entertainment, announced on Sept. 26.

It added, “Since the day of his enlistment at the new recruit training center will be attended by many soldiers and their families, there will be no separate official event to prevent safety accidents due to the crowding on the site;” 

“Please continue to support and love Jaehyun until he completes his military service and returns in good health,” it said. 

Jaehyun (재현) debuted as a singer in 2016. He is the second member of NCT to enlist after Taeyong who started his military service in April and is currently serving as a member of the Navy Band. 

He will be discharged on May 3, 2026.
