He emphasized the city's commitment to guiding the youth away from distractions and helping them become productive members of society.

“Asahan niyo po na tuloy-tuloy din ang pagsasagawa natin ng mga proyekto para tulungan ang ating mga kabataan na maisakatuparan din ang kanilang tunay na potensyal (Rest assured that we will continue implementing projects to help our youth realize their full potential),” Malapitan said during the inauguration of the new e-library in Barangay 62, on Wednesday, September 25.

The new e-library, located along 10th Avenue, provides free access to thousands of educational and leisure resources, available in both physical and digital formats.

According to the city’s public information office, the facility is open to the public from Monday to Friday.

Mayor Along expressed his appreciation to all the organizations that supported his initiative.

“Maraming salamat po sa CATC, sa aking maybahay na si Aubrey Malapitan, sa Cultural Affairs and Tourism Office (CATO) at sa National Library, at sa lahat ng mga tanggapan na nagtulong-tulong upang maisakatuparan ang pagkakaroon natin ng E-Library sa Caloocan (Many thanks to CATC, to my wife Aubrey Malapitan, to the Cultural Affairs and Tourism Office (CATO), and the National Library, and to all the offices that worked together to make our E-Library in Caloocan a reality),” he said.

He encouraged students and residents, especially the youth, to take full advantage of the library for both academic purposes and leisure reading.

“Sa lahat ng mga Batang Kankaloo, para sa inyo ang proyektong ito. Sulitin niyo ang paggamit sa mga koleksyon at mga pasilidad ng ating bagong e-library para hindi lang para sa inyong pag-aaral. Kung gusto niyo lang magbasa o ma-relax, welcome kayong lahat dito (To all Batang Kankaloo, this project is for you. Make the most out of the collections and facilities of our new e-library not just for your studies. If you just want to read or relax, you are all welcome here)," Malapitan said.

The event was led by Cultural Affairs and Tourism Council (CATC) head Aubrey Malapitan, and National Library Director Cesar Gilbert Adriano.
