Lamborghini has ended its era of purely fossil-fueled supercars and is marking its entry into the world of electrified vehicles. It begins with their first-ever V12 plug-in hybrid supercar, and latest flagship model, the Revuelto.

Francesco Scardaoni, Director of Automobili Lamborghini Asia-Pacific, highlighted the importance of this milestone, saying, “Revuelto represents a significant milestone in the history of Lamborghini and an important pillar in our Direzione Cor Tauri electrification strategy. This iconic V12 PHEV delivers performance with its exceptional dynamism of electric torque vectoring and permanent four-wheel drive, ensuring the Revuelto expresses its amplified qualities both on track and in daily driving.”

Hybrid power

The Revuelto is a showcase of Lamborghini’s signature innovation and is classified as a High-Performance Electric Vehicle. It features a newly developed 6.5-liter V12 engine paired with three electric motors, producing a combined power output of 1,029-Ps. For the first time in a 12-cylinder Lamborghini, there’s a double-clutch, eight-speed transmission, enhancing both speed and handling. Its hybrid powertrain includes two electric motors at the front and a third one at the rear, providing torque vectoring and even enabling an all-electric driving mode. The lithium-ion battery, tucked into the central tunnel, powers the electric motors and recharges in just 30 minutes when connected to an external fast-charging power source.

Lightweight carbon fiber plays a critical role in the Revuelto's construction. This material is used for the car’s structure and body panels, delivering an impressive weight-to-power ratio of 1.75 kg per PS — the best in Lamborghini’s history. This combination of lightweight materials, powerful engine, and active aerodynamics results in breathtaking performance: the Revuelto can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 2.5 seconds, and its top speed exceeds 350 km/h.

Unique design

In terms of design, the Revuelto blends Lamborghini’s iconic, angular style with modern, futuristic touches. Its sharp lines and aggressive stance take cues from legendary V12 models like the Countach, Diablo, and Murciélago, while aerospace influences add a sleek, forward-looking edge. Y-shaped daytime running lights and hexagonal exhaust tips not only enhance the car’s aesthetic appeal but also improve its aerodynamic efficiency. The boldly exposed cylinder heads are an artful touch, but the engine bay is guaranteed to be weatherproof. And of course, the signature scissor doors, synonymous with the marque, remain an iconic feature.

From an aerodynamic perspective, the Revuelto is engineered for maximum efficiency and downforce. Its active rear wing adjusts based on driving conditions to enhance both stability and performance. The roof is sculpted to improve airflow to the rear wing, while also providing extra headroom for occupants. Even the braking system benefits from the car’s focus on aerodynamics, with new cooling technologies ensuring optimal performance during high-speed driving.

Inside, the Revuelto's cabin offers a blend of cutting-edge technology and luxury materials. A driver-focused setup includes a 12.3-inch digital cockpit, an 8.4-inch central touchscreen, and a 9.1-inch display for the passenger. The passenger can even interact with the driver’s display via a unique swipe function. The interior materials combine fine leather with Corsa-Tex, a microfiber made from recycled polyester. Lamborghini offers 70 different interior color options and up to 400 exterior paint choices, allowing for a highly personalized driving experience.

The Revuelto also comes equipped with Lamborghini’s most advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) to date. Features such as Active Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert work together to enhance safety, whether navigating through city traffic or cruising on the highway.
