Broadcast journalist Ben Tulfo bares Senate bid

MARAWI CITY – Prominent TV and radio personality Ben Tulfo is running for senator in the elections next year.

Tulfo, 69, announced his independent candidacy here as he was conferred the title of Honorable Son of Marawi in a ceremony led by Mayor Majul U. Gandamra at the Marawi City Gymnasium on Wednesday, September 25.

“You have consistently offered your support and assistance to everyone, including members of the Islamic community, throughout most of your career, regardless of your differing faith,” Gandamra said.  “You have shown that you are a Christian who has love and respect for our culture,” added Gandamra.
