BIÑAN CITY, Laguna – Authorities seized suspected Ecstasy valued at P1.7 million from an online seller and his companion in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Francisco, this city, on Tuesday night, September 24.
The suspects were identified as high-value drug personalities Mark Marvin Piathong, 28, single, online seller, of Barangay Molino IV, Bacoor City, Cavite, and Dhaesyrie Dumale, 20, female, part-time model, from Caloocan City.

They yielded 1,014 Ecstasy tablets weighing 400 grams and buy-bust money.
The suspects were taken to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Regional Office 4-A detention facility in Santa Rosa City, Laguna and faces drug-related charges.
Employee killed
Meanwhile, a resort employee was gunned down in Barangay Pansol, Calamba City, Laguna on Tuesday afternoon.
Police identified the victim as Jemar Paulino de la Cruz, a resident of Calamba City.
Investigation said the victim was killed by two men who pretended as customers at around 3:30 p.m. The suspects were wearing helmets, black jackets, and pants.
The suspects fled toward the direction of Barangay Bucal, this city.
Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
