Magnitude 4.6 quake jolts Occidental Mindoro — Phivolcs

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded a 4.6-magnitude earthquake that struck Occidental Mindoro on Wednesday evening, Sept. 25.
The quake, which occurred at 7:37 p.m., had its epicenter 14 kilometers northeast of Looc, Occidental Mindoro, Phivolcs said.
It was felt at Intensity III (weak) in Batangas City, Batangas and Intensity II (slightly felt) in Tagaytay City, Cavite and Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro.
Phivolcs said the quake was tectonic, which means it was caused by an active fault near the area.
However, it does not expect damage or aftershocks because of this earthquake.
