Las Piñas City Council reviews proposals during its regular session

The Las Piñas City Council, led by Vice Mayor April Aguilar, reviewed various proposals during the conduct of its regular session that focuses on significant proposals and community welfare on Monday, September 23.
Aguilar said one of the key agenda discussed was the endorsement from the office of the City Mayor concerning proposed annual general fund budget for fiscal year of 2025.
She said the proposal, alongside the budget expenditures and sources of financing, was certified by the City Treasurer, Panning Officer, City Accountant, and the City Budget that marks a focal step in the city’s financial planning.
A request from the City Health Office (CHO) to increase the monthly honorarium of barangay health workers (BHW) by P500 effective January 2025 was also discussed.
The City Council also reviewed letters requesting height exemptions for building projects as well as the waiving of penalties and interest for both transfer and business taxes.
