The Antipolo City government urged women with ovarian and uterine cancers to avail of its free surgical mission for gynecologic malignancy of the uterus and ovaries at the Rizal Provincial Hospital System (RPHS) Antipolo–Annex II on October 9 and 10.
Mayor Jun Ynares stated that the initial screening for the surgery started on September 9 and was extended until September 30.
The screening aims to assess and provide medical clearance for patients before undergoing surgery.
Interested patients from Antipolo and Rizal can bring their barangay indigency certificate, medical certificate from the hospital, and a valid ID to RPHS Antipolo from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for the initial screening.
He added that walk-in patients are allowed and there is no required age limit.
Ynares thanked the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center (JRRMMC) for the conduct of the surgical mission.
“Kung kailangan ng serbisyong ito, tayo na po at huwag nang magpatumpik-tumpik pa, dahil babae, mahalaga ka! (If you need this kind of service, do not hesitate and avail of it because woman, you matter!),” he said.
